About Me

Hello there, my name is Chelsea! Before I give you a glimpse into my photography life, I wanted to thank you for thinking about letting me into yours!

I graduated from Harrington College of Design in 2014 with my Associates in Digital Photography. After finishing there, I went on to get my Bachelors in Visual Journalism with a minor in Radio-TV-Film at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) in 2018. While in Oshkosh I was given the opportunity to be the team photographer for UWO Men’s Hockey Club for five seasons. Along with working for the hockey team, I was a part of the Trident Productions (TP) team. I photographed weddings with TP for five seasons where my work contributed to four awards from Wedding Wire and The Knot. During my five seasons at TP I was able to improve my photography and editing skills while helping the company reformat their website and train new photographers.

Why did I choose photography? Long story short, I love the reactions people give me when they see their photos! With sports, the players would come up to me after a game and ask me if I got their goal or if I got their big hit, etc. It was always the same reaction when I said yes, pure excitement and happiness. They loved showing off their photos and that made me fall in love with sports photography.

Photographing weddings gives me a very similar, but also different feeling. Couples trust me to capture one of the biggest days in their lives, so there’s added pressure. Their day goes by so quickly and they don’t even realize how much they missed until they get their photos back. I have had couples tell me that they don’t even remember an event happening at their wedding and they were so grateful I was able to capture it! Seeing and hearing their reactions to moments of their big day makes that added pressure worth it!
